    Hello and welcome to my own personal asset store thread! The purpose of this thread is to update you guys on any new assets I create and do my best to answer questions regarding them.

    LATEST RELEASE:



    HQ Assault Rifle
    - Realistic Assault Rifle, rendered at 27,059 triangles.
    - High resolution albedo, metallic/smoothness, normal and ambient occlusion texture maps.
    - 4096x4096 for the rifle and 2048x2048 for the scope, magazine and front grip.
    - Detachable scope, magazine and front grip.

    You would need someone to rig the mesh to a skeleton in a 3D application and animate it there. Then you'd export the animations from the 3D application to Unity. I haven't tried using the knight with other software like Mixamo but I suppose it should be possible to set him up since he is a regular biped character. The example animations I provide with the package are just to show off that the mesh is built with animations in mind and that the deformation of the mesh works fine, and to show what kind of quality is possible. I would have loved to provide a complete set of animations but unfortunately I don't have the time available for such a huge task. I hope this helps :)

    I would love to add more guns in the future but some circumstances prevent from doing it right away :)

    HQ Ultimate Battle Pack
    - 15 authentic weapons, rendered in high detail, ranging from 994 to 7472 triangles.
    - High resolution diffuse, gloss, specular and normal map textures.
    - Create your own texture variants using the included PSD texture templates (containing color map, ambient occlusion map and normal map).
    - Includes icons for each weapon!
    - Delivered in a nice chest!

    NEW UPDATE:

    The first update for the Ultimate Battle Pack has been approved! It adds 5 new high quality weapons for a total of 20 high quality weapons. I'm already hard at work on the next version... so please look forward to it! :)

    Two new weapons for your enjoyment: Flail and Pyramidical Mace. They are currently only available as part of my HQ Knight Pack. But they will of course pop up in the next update for the HQ Ultimate Battle Pack.

    - New weapon added: Grenade Launcher!
    - The package now comes bundled with the HQ FPS arms.



    After a lot of hard work I finally have a new modern weapon ready to go! For those of you that already bought my package of weapons, now redubbed the HQ Modern Combat Pack, there is a free update ready that includes the new weapon AND MORE. I plan to look into making animation of the weapons easier as I've had requests from various users and I hope to have an update on that in the near future.

    Hey there! I'm glad you like the weapons. Making a weapon is a complicated process and takes a lot of time. Right now At the moment I'm not working on any new ones but I might make more in the future :)

    Any tips on how to rotate the cylinder and crane in the revolver so that they stay within the hinge?

    The pivot point of the cylinder and crane has to be set up properly. The model supplied with the pack is not broken up into separate mesh parts with their own pivot points. I decided to deliver each model like this because each project will want to break it up in different ways and use different techniques to animate it (animate in code, traditional rig & skinning etc). My advice would be to get a free 3D package like Blender and break the model up as you need it. Each model is modelled so every part (hammer, trigger, cylinder, crane etc) can be moved and animated and are not modelled into the body itself of the gun. I hope this clears things up and if you still require any assistant feel free to shoot me an e-mail and I'll do my best to help solve your issue :)

    Hey I was wondering if it was possible if you could update the model so that the ratchet in the cylinder is also movable. Maybe make it so that when you move the ejector rod, it'll move the ratchet as well, since I think that's how real revolvers work.

    The Knight is already rigged, right ? So I can transfer skin weights from one bone structure to another.
    Will I encounter any issues when using texture maps from this model with PBR from Unity 5 ?

    Hey shame!

    The knight is fully rigged and comes with 3 example animations. The rig is a custom biped rig (there are special bones for armor parts like the thigh guards and shoulder pads). Are you planning on reprojecting animations? I have not done extensive testing with any of the mechanim features but I'd guess that most animations you try to reproject would have some issues with the rigidness of the armor and like I said the thigh guards and other special details.

    The knight comes with diffuse, specular, gloss and normal maps if I remember correctly. They were created way before Unity 5 was available. If you still are interested I could take a look at how the knight looks in Unity 5 and send you a screenshot.

    Fortunately plans have changed for me - my master gave me a break from slavery.
    I have found some spare time to work on my own project, so I purchased the Knight.

    The model quality is freaking amazing. I was expecting much worse polygon conservation, but this topology perfectly fits even mobile devices released since 2013.
    The rig has extreme attention to detail, makes things look super realistic.
    Unity 5 PBR works just fine with this model. All you have to do to make it compatible - is throw the alpha channel of Diffuse map into the alpha channel of Specular map and use the shader "Standard (Specular Setup)".

    This model blows my mind, I wasn't expecting this quality. Shoving 5 stars up your asset.

    UPD: Also bought your knight weapons pack. I'd like more shields, bow and a crossbow please :3

    Yo! Just bought your m79 grenade launcher. It looks great, but there's no articulation/separate meshes. Would it be possible to get an fbx with it broken apart into separate pieces? (super plz, it's time sensitive).

    Considering your HQ Modern Combat Pack, I just wanted to know if anything has changed and the meshes are now animatable within Unity? (IE the magazine, bolt, and scope show up as different objects within Unity)

    The FBX files that are included in the pack are all a single mesh. You can easily break it up into multiple objects using any 3D application that can open an FBX file. It is only a couple of minutes of work. If you have any problems don't hesitate to send me a PM.

    Sorry to hear that, my workflow is entirely in Unity. Consider releasing the separated meshes as optional files within the package. Thanks for the help.

    The most common question I get is actually about splitting up the meshes so maybe it is about time that I go about and do just that. I'll try to have an update submitted tonight ;)

    Man I spend so much on assets. Saw your gun used in that VR video btw, pretty sick.

    I heard haha, that video description is the whole reason I am in this thread in the first place. Love your VR work, thats definitely what I want to be doing in VR. I was just implementing guns into my FPS yesterday, and all I could think of was the insane interaction in that video.
