    Nice Kit!!!

    I watched most of your tutorial videos, and it looks like what I might need, but I have one question please.

    I assume that when I add a new character, in that I can pretty much add any character asset I can get my hands on, so long as it is humanoid in body shape. Is this correct?

    Will it work with the Polygon characters from Synty Studios?

    Yes, you can use any humanoid character with our kit (including Polygon characters).

    Hi, VadimGerc.

    I purchased it and tried to do the video tutorial("USK Tutorial - Add a new character (new)").

    But, something wrong...

    This video is my first trying USK.


    1)When playing mode, the error occurs unlimited.(demo character and my character)
    A game object can only be in one layer. The layer needs to be in the range [0...31]

    2)Foot step place is not match the feet in walking and running.(my character on my video)

    3)Jump is terrible on my character. The demo character's jump is too slow and short.

    4)The upper body of the character follows the mouse and rotates too much.
    Can I turn off the IK working?

    5)Can I turn off the AIM CAM?


    Env:
    iMac 2019
    macOS Mojave 10.14.6
    Unity2019.2.3
    USK ver 1.3.4

    Can I fix it? and my recommend is available?

    Sorry to make you wait so long.

    In the next week, we'll release a new update, this's the very big update. There we'll add a completely new character controller with Root Motion, see how this looks:



    Also, we'll fix the step sounds, so please wait for the new version ;)


    Please send us (gercstudio@gmail.com) your project or a prefab with your character, so we can find the bug.
    It'll help us a lot.

    My adjustment was not enough before...


    > 2)Foot step place is not match the feet in walking and running.
    These troubles are almost solved with adjustment.(see the movie)
    Controller componet>Movement>
    Run>Forward:4, Backward:3, Lateral:1
    Walk>Forward:1, Backward:0.8, Lateral:0

    > 3)Jump is terrible on my character. The demo character's jump is too slow and short.
    This trouble is also almost solved with adjustment.

    Jump Height:2to3, Crouch height before jump:0.2, Jump Speed:30

    Or Need the function of adjustment for turning angle region.
    (Both requested for future updating)

    I don't want to use the reticule when the character is NOT in combat.

    Hi everyone, some info about the new update... o_O

    We were working so hard for the last three months and we ready to show you what we’ve achieved.

    The 1.4 version will be released next week, and it’s the biggest update of our kit.

    One of the main features is a completely new character controller...

    You can see how much difference between two versions :eek: And also, we’ve added a lot of features (you can see all of them here http://bit.ly/usk-roadmap)


    But where is the new AI system?

    Honestly, the system isn’t ready, we’ve made more part of our plans, but now it doesn't fit with what we want to do. So we keep doing great work and we’ll release the new AI system until the end of the year.

    Hi, I'm making a stand-alone game (no need to connect to the Internet game), but don't have a save system. I wanted to study your code to solve this problem by myself, but I can't solve this problem. My game and I need a save system. I hope the next version has a save system.

    We'll add the Saves in one of the next updates. And you can write what do you need in this system (health, ammo, e.t.c).

    Save my weapon, my life, my ammunition, my character's position in the game... These are necessary, but I hope the system can be more flexible, such as I can save variables, arrays, some strings and so on. I hope the archive file can be encrypted. You can see Save Game Free - Gold Update.

    In version 1.4, there are two ways to generate enemies. Specify to place enemies and randomly place enemies. I see that crux plug-in places enemies on the specified material map. You may get inspiration from it.

    I think the grenade should be replaceable. You can pick up other grenades to replace different grenades.

I hope you can do a function to export and save the weapon position, and later... Create the same type of weapon to import these data, import the holding posture.     In version 1.4, you can create characters and drag them to the scene to run tests. It is found that you can't control characters' walking, attacking and sprinting. You need gamemanger. Adding characters to gamemanger is OK in version 1.3.4, and you don't need gamemanger. I don't think this design is easy to use. This is not as easy as version 1.3.4. As for the function of placing enemies, it can't be placed automatically all the time. AI, because it has placed AI quantity, AI will not place new AI after death.

    You should add the characters in the game with the Game Manager. It's as easy as in the previous version.

    1.4 looks great. Are you planning RPG elements? Quests, inventory, armor equipment, character level/stats, vendors etc?

    We plan to add more shooter elements to the kit (like gun customization, more weapons types, AI, etc). But maybe we'll add a few RPG elements latter. By the way, the inventory system already exists in this kit (it's names inventory wheel).
