Question New Unity 2021 project, high GPU usage

    Started Unity 2021, empty project, empty scene, standard pipeline.

    Hardware: Windows 11 x64, 3080 TI, 128gb RAM. Latest drivers and patches.

    VSync is ON. Using DX 11.

    The blank scene uses 30% of my GPU, including when built as a standalone windows app.

    Any ideas why?

    This helped with high cpu usage, down from 25% to 5%, thank you! GPU usage however remains unchanged.

    Sounds like this really is an issue.

    Yea I am seeing this in Unity 2019 as well. I also have Pathfinder: Kingmaker (made in Unity game engine) and it exhibits the same high gpu usage, even on low settings. Could be my specific GPU (3080 ti) or something else.

    What do you get for gpu usage with vsync on in a blank scene?
