New Steps for setting up EditorVR with 2017.2.0b4?

    So the Change Log for 2017.2.0b4 calls out "EditorVR is now supported without need of a custom build (still requires separate download).". That would seem to indicate that I would just have to download the master branch from Unity Git repro, open it with 2017.2.0b4, export it as a Unitypackage file and then add it into a project.
    However, the FAQ and other instructions on this forum do not seem to have been updated. Does anyone have any guidance for working with EditorVR and this beta build of Unity?

    Hi there. Well spotted!

    EditorVR mostly works in tbe 2017.2 beta, but there is a UI bug that prevents you from getting any use out of it. This will be fixed shortly, though I'm not sure if it will make it into the next beta. There will be a post here as soon as we have working 2017.2 support.

    In the meantime, continue to use the experimental 5.6 release.

    Not yet - I've been watching the build logs and testing each build quite eagerly.

    How do you get it to work in 2017.2 though? I just get a bunch of errors when importing or the master branch.

    We will release an update that corrects the little scripting changes that need to occur - but that will not happen before the underlying bugs are fixed.

    I know i sound like a broken record but are we there yet 2017.2.0b9??

    Almost there with b9/b10; still working out some issues that cropped up.

    There is a refactor/2017.2 branch on github that is compatible with those versions if you want an unsupported technical preview.

    any news ? i want to try it in unity 2017.1 ! :)
    (i need the timeline feature so can't go back to 5.6 :/ )

    Hey,
    Any news? :)
    I downloaded Unity 2017.2.0f1 (64-bit) yesterday (which says that it officially support editorVR) but couldn't find the editorVR window. I further imported the EditorVR.unitypackage and still got nothing... (i was able to play with it in the dedicated unity releasy 5.6)
    When will it be official ??
    When will the 2017.2 be official??

    yeah could we get some instructions? i can't figure this out o_O maybe if we someone who has gotten it working with 2017.2.0f2 could give us a project with just it working and nothing else.
