We’ve just released a brand new version of the Particle Pack for 2018.2!

This awesome new addition features all of the old particles we had in our original pack, plus all-new particles and effects to use, for free, in your own projects.

We’ve renamed the old version to Unity Particle Pack 5.x. Please note that this version will no longer be updated for new versions of Unity.

We recommend you use the brand new version HERE.

Please use this thread for any questions you have on the new Particle Pack!

Is there a particular reason this was released as a complete project rather than a set of assets? Seems like a lot of extra work to create new project, import this, move the prefabs over to my real project, etc.

Or is there an easier path I'm missing?

    EDIT: Also, thank you!

    Hello!

We had to upload as a Complete Project as the Example Scene requires a few Project Settings.

The easiest way to get all the content without affecting your current project is to Import via the Asset Store and when the Import Project Settings window appears, simply uncheck the Project Settings folder:

You can also exclude most of the other folders if there's only one/some effects you're interested in and you're not interested in the Example Scene, Packages, or Environment assets:

This will save me so much time and add some juice to the game! Thanks!

One bug in version 1.1: The "Readme" file links to a nonexistent forum thread.

just for the sake of it..
    • The newer pkg has a forum link, which is broken.
    • The package is rendering half pink in 2019.1.0f2, which means it has major issues.
    • The package also ruined many a project for those who imported it into an existing project.

Well this broke my project, thanks Unity! You would have thought you could trust a Unity asset to not ruin projects

can you put a warning saying it overwrites settings? i just lost multiple weeks of stressful work because of this and i'm annoyed
i didnt think i'd need to make a backup because i thought i could trust a UNITY ASSET to not break my project, guess not
