    Hi, there,

I am wondering whether we have to check the "Sprite (2D and UI)" in the inspector (see screenshot) when we want to use the image for the New UI system? So what if i have an atlas, how can i convert it to make sure i can use it in the new UI? Is there any way i can upload a whole sprite with all texture i need? like in Daikon forge or using 2D toolkit?

    Any suggestions are welcome!

I guess it depends on what you want to use the spritesheet for. You can import a sheet and set it to Sprite Mode: Multiple. After that you open the sprite editor and use the slice tool to define your individual elements similar to how you would slice sheets for 2D games, this should work for atlases. However, if you are looking to animate UI elements like buttons, I would suggest trying to animate then using Unity's built in animation tools.
