New gameobject highlighting

    I just read the release note and I saw a very welcome feature, the new highlighting method. The old one was so much a nightmare that I had to use some script to disable wireframe when setting up the materials.

    But I am worried, does this mean the current wireframe bug on 5.4 where you can't set wireframe opacity will be ignored since it's an outdated feature and we have to wait for 5.5?

    It seem strange this simple bug is still unfixed and I am worried this may be the reason.

    No, that doesn't factor into how we approach bugs. It's in our list, and we'll look at it.
    There's just the priorities of which graphics issues to fix first.

    Just because it may or may not seem like a simple bug doesn't factor into it for us at this time.
