    Hi guys,

    Happy New Year.

    I recently started a new project, a 3D game.
The game graphics quality will (I hope) looks like this game Ghost of a Tale or as close as possible.

I already started to create the assets and other things in Blender and Unity.
I've got a desktop computer to do most of the work but sometimes I have to work on my laptop and I broke it two days ago.
So my question is, do you have any recommendations about a new laptop for developing this kind of game? Something that can easily handle these graphics? Any idea of the budget and config? I would like to spend AUD $2000 max (USD $1600).
My previous laptop was lagging when too much things were put in Unity.

    Thank you in advance.

I bought a Dell Alienware laptop at a pawn shop for $700.00. If I get another laptop it will be a Dell Alienware Laptop. I didn't even like laptops before I got this one. I don't know if this helps or not and a new Alienware laptop will probably be over your budget but well worth the investment. I hope you find a great laptop to replace the old one.

This will happen regardless of how powerful your computer is. You'll just be able to have more of them before it occurs.

Any gaming laptop with a GeForce 10 series card. I recommend MSI.

Just keep in mind that game has been optimized. You'll need hardware capable of running the game in an unoptimized state (since you won't be optimizing as much during development) as well as the editor.

    Hi guys,
    Thank you for the answers.

My previous laptop specs, if I remember, was:
    Processor: i5
    RAM: 8GB

Does a laptop with these specs is enough :
    i7 6700K,
    GTX1080,
    32 Gig PC3200Mhz RAM,

Alienware laptops are definitely too expensive for me, but thanks for the advice.

Do you have any recommandations for good Brands? My previous one was an Asus but I'm not really happy of my experience with it.
