New C# student, Want to make a Unity game for a Project

Hey guys,

I've been studying development in C# since September and went from hello world then to writing a small Database Driven bank account application using SQL server for my last college project.

My final assignment requires me to write a beefy enough application of my choice. And I was thinking why not a game in Unity since I'm also a passionate gamer.

The problem is I have about 3 months to fully complete this project, and I will be in work placement while doing so.

I was hoping some of the more experienced unity guys could tell me if this is completely unrealistic or if its possible.

The Idea is to make a small RPG with maybe one or two quests and some spells in a small enough area. Player and enemy GUI and a boss fight. (spitballing here)


I have enclosed the source code for my most recent banking app along with the SQL if you want to actually run it just to show where I'm at with coding at the moment. ( BE GENTLE ) Ive commented out the Log In code so you can just click to enter the app without a username/password.

I was just thinking this morning that I may need to get a few fellow peeps involved with my project, However I believe it may take some what longer then the 3 months you have.

I have been creating the odds and ends, such as game models and simple scripts that are used to manipulate them..

The game I hope would be similar to "The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim". However not the same. As you can imagine this may not be the suitable project for your test, it may still be something you may be interested in taking part. I cant say it will make you any money, but I can say its one hell of a way to learn how to create a game as it pretty much includes every aspect of game development including the exhaustive amount of scripting that will need be done.

If you or any one is interested in communicating more about a project that I have already begun developing, please send a line or two and I will inform you as to what point I'am at and what I hope to accomplish. Of course your welcome to ADD and Contribute to all aspects of the project.

Not sure if thats what your looking for GaryMN, but it may be interesting. I admit that at the moment I am still trying to finalize the concept of the game, as well as mentally construct the environments, Anyway need know more.. Drop me a line.. Good luck brother.
