C'mon, I know there's Blender users out there. :) We need more people signing up to get the (proposed) site confirmed.

Now the proposed site isn't just for Blender - it's been expanded to include all 3D Modeling Software and Techniques.

So if you're interested in 3ds Max, Maya, Sketchup, or any other 3D package, please go sign up for the site - we're only a few people short for moving to the Beta phase.

I just wanted to second what Cyclops has said, and maybe motivate a few more people to take a look.

The StackExchange platform is a great way to get quick and detailed answers, and there are definitely people here that would benefit from a 3D Modelling StackExchange site being setup.

Not only is it a great way to learn, but it's also a good way to demonstrate knowledge - if you might be applying for a job in the 3D modelling area, being able to point at your profile and say "look at these answers I've given" could really help your chances.

It only takes a few moments to signup for the proposal, a few seconds to vote (pick the 'all votes' tab and vote for anything under 20 votes), and that's it - once the beta starts you'll get an email notifying you, and you can then head over and ask questions and/or provide answers.

If you're unsure... well there is no obligation to actually use the site even if you "commit" - but it will only get created if the proposal gets enough interest, so please spend just a minute or two of time to help it get into beta status, and then you'll see how good it is. :)

Good news - the proposed 3D Modeling site has moved from Stage 1 (definition) to Stage 2 (commitment), one step closer to live Beta. If you are at all interested in 3D Graphics creation with any package (Blender, Maya, 3DS Max, etc), then consider committing to using the new site.

If/when we get enough people, then the site moves to Beta, then Public. So go sign up now. :)
