What helped me a lot in making this game was coding a custom Scene Event system based on RPG Maker. It works amazing, I can make a very complicated cutscene in very low time, and whenever I need a new functionality I just add it in a minute and I can use it in every scene. I'll considering sharing these script to the public once the game will be finished, so I can help some Unity developers out there!
