    Hi everyone!
I'd like to present to you "Neural Diver", my first mobile game! Neural Diver is inspired by Tempest 2k. While it is hardly a patch on an old classic, Neural Diver was my answer to a question: How can I build a tube shooter like Tempest 2k that has UI and controls designed specifically for touch devices?

I started work on this a few days before Christmas 2014, and have been working steadily in the evenings to finish this game. I actually got the core of the game done before the new year, but artwork creation, levels, sounds and playtesting took a fair while to complete.

One of my earlier playtesters told me that the enemy units were too complicated and similar looking. This resulted in me re-doing all the enemy units to (hopefully) help with this issue; simple, geometric shapes in a variety of colours were used, instead of the glowing green on black that I originally favoured.

After completing this game and stepping back to take a look, I think the levels and how the weapons are introduced to the player could be improved; by the 2nd mission, the player has half the weapons already. But on the flip side, the weapons are necessary to have a variety of enemies attacking the player.

Neural Diver went live on the Play Store earlier today, and hence this post :) I hope you will find it interesting!
