Nested LOD groups?

    I've tried to have one LOD group on a parent object and another one on one of the child objects, and the latter doesn't seem to work when parented under another LOD group. I assume Unity doesn't allow nested LOD groups? I can't find any information on this.

    [Edit: Never mind - it was caused by a different problem. It is possible to use nested LOD groups after all]

    Seems that you get a "Nested LOD Renderer 'your child' is registered with more than one LODGroup" error and error shader if you nest one LOD inside another?

    Any notes on the solution?

    Nested LODs don't seem to work right for me and I'm getting the errors that the objects are belonging to the same LOD group

    "Renderer 'Cube_LODED' is registered with more than one LODGroup ('Cube (4)' and 'Cube_LODED').
    UnityEditor.EditorApplication:Internal_CallGlobalEventHandler()"
