I am looking for a way to spawn an animated pool of blood whenever an enemy is killed underneath the body and then gradually spilling out. Is there an asset like this in the Asset Store?

Depending on your style of game, this very may well exist, but you might want to go into more detail about... well, the details.

Are you looking for 2d? 3d? Cartoony? Realistic? Pixelated? Spawned via a particle system? Using a mesh decal with an alpha channel? Etc.

I need it to work like a decal. For a top down perspective game (3d) with a realistic style. It doesn't need to be in a particle system because it only needs to be spawned once, underneath the dead model when they are on the ground. It needs to spill out and spread out.

That sounds easy enough. Why not just take a blood red circle texture with alpha, apply it to a default square mesh in Unity, stretch it to fit your dead body, then animate the scale to simulate the spreading pool?

No problem, glad it was helpful. I could have done it for you and put it in the store, but the wait for the verification process wouldn't have been worth it for such a simple task. It's not the most realistic looking solution, but it'll do in a pinch. If you wanted a more complicated blood pool, that would have been a different story. Anyhow, good luck with your project!
