Need refunds flash sale didn't give the discounts.

    I clicked "Buy now" when it came active and it showed the discount, then when it refreshed it charged me full price on each of the 2 items I purchased, so I want the refund of the amount of the difference.

    FYI the asset store crashed, you probably are aware of that by now though. Put in a ticket on this, clearly this wasn't tested for high demand or something else, no clue, but the second the timer hit 0 and i was able to do the "buy now" on an item and did my payment then went back to the store and did that on a second item, it literally charged me full price on both items, need that code looked into.

    i clicked buy now and the server crashed, this is a mess, I think I paid $1000 also full price :mad:

    I presume they will have this fixed by the next 3 hour sale, off to bed for me though, good luck on getting your 1k back.

    why would they only make 20? that number is a bit low for an digital item

    Because the discount is ridiculously low, 90% off is insane on some of those assets, so limited supply makes sense, but 20 does seem a bit low, that was a business decision, but the fact that it let us click on "Buy Now" and not lock that 1 down is the hard part, then to show me the discount in my cart, then to charge me full price on each item, that's just not right, so there is coding issues with it, I think this is the first year they are doing this on major purchases though, bound to be bugs, they will sort it, either way the store crapped on itself, so at least no one else is having this purchase issue, only those of us who ended up getting yanked for full price from the purchase are the ones having refund issues, maybe the next few days they will refund.

    Nah you are being to nice. They should not have limited to 20, the servers should not be crashing, they should not be messing up your order. That is a sh$t show. I stayed up late for this mess.

    Sadly so did I, normally I am in bed at 9PM CST, stayed up just for this *shrugs* we will see in the morning what they have to say about it.

    20 copies on 90%, 50 copies on 80%, etc, or something like that.

    The way it works I think is it's 90% at first, the more sales it has, the lower the discount, so from 90% it becomes 80%, 60%, 40%, etc. Until a certain amount it stays at, maybe 30%.


    This was also never explained to anyone that I could see, it's a messed up situation. They really messed it up good lol.
    you add it to your cart at 90%, do checkout, and when you pay it turns out it's now 80%.
    Some people getting charged full price left and right. Plus the crash :D

    That was NOT explained at all, besides clicking on "Buy Now" the second it is showing should have sold 100% and been at 100% price. But literally no explanation on the discount tiers, didn't see that coming. Unity team usually is great at making communication 100%, yea, a ball dropped tonight.

    Yeah its bad, I got 3 items but God knows what they charged ,me in the end. Showed 90% but bank account shows different

    I got up early in the morning extra to buy 3 things but get nothing because the servers are down.

    I am sure they will make an announcement tomorrow and make good on the correct price or give refunds.

    Like the communication regarding DOTS?:mad: Yeah, they are great at this.
    Set an alarm to get up early during my vacation, only to see a total sh1t show on the asset store presented by "Internal server error: agent error" and "Wrap non AppError: unexpected EOF".

    They should adjust the price for everyone that tried to buy in the first few minutes. i was here when the countdown hit 0 and still overpaid. :mad:

    Didn’t know the discount goes lower based on amount of times being purchased pretty shady lol

    Luckily for me, I paid for the 2 assets through PayPal and since they over charged me do to a computer glitch, it is easy for them to reimburse when they get around to it, its only been 8 hours since the incident, but I think I figured out the real problem with there coding, the timer is based not on a server side code with a timer showing the asset store time, it was based on our local PC time, mine is based on Microsoft clock with backup of Military clock, and they are identical, the forums are not based on either Microsoft nor Military time clock, and the asset store clock is 5 minutes behind all of them, my receipt I got in my email shows 10:54 which means that the asset store is not in sync with any time clock sync. It looks like Unity wants us to use our payment processor to request a refund, I got an email at 11:56 PM CST about filing for a refund, so it looks like it will be up to us to request a refund and give the reason.
