Need help?

I was going to post a question about monetization among different platforms, but I realized there is no relevant section for it. Sure I can post it here, but this is Unity Gossip. Should we have a thread for conversations solely about game development? Or should we just keep general game development topics in here?

To be specific, my question was:

Do you think it is better to stick to a mobile style monitization system (admob, pay to remove admob, in app purchases) across other platform such as Kongregate. And on the topic of Kongregate, do people find it generally worth the time?

So I can be clear - I'm not asking for an answer to this question (yet) just suggesting that we have a separate forum for generic questions LIKE this.

 

At one point it used to be Unity Gossip but that's no longer the case. It's now a fallback section intended for game dev topics that don't fit anywhere else on the forums. Basically if you can't find a more appropriate section then this is the appropriate section to ask the question.

To answer your question it's legitimately been years now since I last heard anything about Kongregate. I do remember the discussions from the past though and the general consensus at the time was that it's nearly impossible to make any money on it and that it's better treated as a way to find play testers for an idea.
