It's a little late of me to ask with only about a month left on my deadline. But I've decided to run this through the forums first to see if my idea is actually executable and worth taking on using Unity 3D's free edition.

Here's what I want to do:
Create a 3D world based off several maps that will in essence produce a 3D Campus for an institution I wish to model. The campus is very big. And the world will have to feature at least several enterable key facilities. This world will have to come with a simplistic interface that allows the user to pan around the world. And display pre-designed "routes" between facilities.

That's about as simple as I can be for now. That being said, what skills do I have before hand?
1: Quite a bit of experience in Blender. I'm not that good by any means, but I'm fairly adept at creating what I want.
2: I know Python a little. But I'm pretty sure it carries little in common with Unity Script.

So now that I've covered what I can do and what I wish to accomplish, can anyone tell me how possible this is using Unity, and if it was something that would be createable in a month or less?

    Thanks! :D

It's quite possible, and depending on the level of detail required and available reference and/or data I'm super confident that my dev team and I could do it inside a month.

Someone learning the tools as they go, though? I wouldn't count on it.

well, with no scripting, how does this sound.
model your campus, inside and out, put your routes on textures, maybe build the ceilings separate and deactivate them when flyover with camera object...
    or possibly...
model your campus, and put in a fps prefab from standard assets with two joysticks on the screen, possibly with gravity off for fly through...
