I'm not 100% sure this is in the correct area (I'm actually 80% sure it's in the wrong area), but I really need some help with movement for my character.

I'm looking for a top-down movement type that has the character's velocity determined by W and S (forward and reverse, respectively), with A and D controlling direction. (right and left, respectively). Pretty much like Sunless Sea.

Can anyone help? I'm really new to Unity3D (I've done some pretty basic scene design), and I'm not incredibly well-versed in programming, so I'd love some help or guidance. :D

Yep, it sounds like you've got your design already chosen, and it's implementation you're struggling with. That'd be the scripting forum.

When you post there, please be sure to describe in detail what you've already tried — maybe use the "Insert... Code" widget (between the movie film icon and the 3.5" floppy disk icon) to paste in the code that's not working for you.

That's the thing, I haven't really tried anything. I have no idea how to start, because I'm not really a programmer. xD But thanks a million, I'll post my problem there to see if I can get help. :D
