NavMeshes treat terrain collider edges poorly

Here on a terrain border where two NavMeshes meet they treat the edges of neighbored (meaning neighbored in script, not just next to each other) terrains like cliff edges. Whereas you can see the wood blocks match up just fine.

I assume this is caused by different normals? It would be nice if they paid attention to their surrounding like non-terrain colliders clearly do.
