Is the source available for the NavMeshAgent component or something similar, I have a need to use NavMeshPath but not with gameobjects so I can't use the NavMeshAgent component but would like to be able to move my own custom objects along a NavMeshPath with steering behaviour, stopping distances and maybe collision with other objects.
Well, you could use this: https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/AI.NavMesh.CalculatePath.html Use a (kinematic?) Rigidbody + Collider for collisions and write your own steering & stopping ... or you just add the NavMeshAgent to your custom Objects - you don't have to put it on a character, it can be anything really.
