Hi, For some reason, the navigation tab, where I'd bake the terrain has gone missing. Is there some other way to bring it up?
You can try opening it from the main menu. In recent editor versions select the item Window > AI > Navigation . In older editor versions select Window > Navigation.
Its not there in 2022.2.1 As you can see this then causes issues with the old baked navmesh showing no matter what and it cannot be used. Yes the package is installed.
the quality of responses thinking they have an answer, or that you might be so dumb you aren't actually looking in the right place is frustrating. I found a forum that has some actual info on resolving the issue here: https://forum.unity.com/threads/where-is-window-ai-navigation.1296018/ what I did is I just went and downloaded the recommended version of unity (2021.3.16f1), that installed the WINDOW > AI tabs so I can navigate to those now, which is incredibly stupid they just allow you to install versions without modules released for a version. I never saw any warnings for modules that wouldn't be installed with your version of unity, it should at least warn you and show you a list of modules that aren't going to be included, but I guess that's too much to ask for. edit, added version
I had this exact problem, here's a possible fix: While in the Unity Editor, click on the little cloud up on the top left. This will pull up the package manager. Go to "All" and find "AI Navigation" and download it. Then, go down to window, AI, Navigation. Now you have the navigation tab! hope this helps
AI Navigation package is not downloaded by default (for some reason) in the newer versions. Go to Package manager, then check Unity registry, search it and download it.
