Nature demo

    I tried to open the nature demo on my unity trial.

    Strange stuff happened.

    First of all the landscape was absolutely not the same as the online webplayer demo.

    Secondly, I did not see any mountains.

    Also, the water reflection was totally messed up.


    Is this demo incompatible with the trial version because it uses features only available in PRO ?

    It's a different demo.

    Water reflections work only in playmode in the game view. This is changed in 2.0 where it is live updating in the scene view.

    Which project exactly are you trying?
    What version of Unity?
    And on what machine are you running the player (Mac/PC, OS, graphics card)?

    ... and reflective water requires Unity Pro. That might be it?

    I'm using the trial downloaded 3 days ago.

    On a new imac 2.4Ghz with a radeon HD2600

    Butit might indeed be the fact that it needs pro to work.


    I'm just evaluating, so I downloaded the project which was on the webplayer demopage with the nature demo.



    By the way. I also tried the racing car tutorial but I suppose the technique used there is old and replaced with another car demo ?
