When dreams come true. I am very happy and proud to announce you that my first indie game made by Unit is now available on Google Play Store..

But I am very afraid at the same time..

I am 19 years old, I dropped out of school this year due to financial needs, so I decided to create my own game and collect some money to help myself and then go back to study. .. After a full year of work my first indie game is now available worldwide on the Google Play Store..

Game DEMO (First Chapter) for free: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.AhmedEssid.OldLoveStoryDemo

    Game Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.AhmedEssid.OldLoveStory

I did everything to make it successful and I am now afraid of failure.. Number of downloads is very low.. :(

I want your advice .. I really need you!!!

Plot: Old Love: Story is an adventure game based on a unique and romantic love story about an old man Tom who lives alone and sad since the death of his wife Lea, but one day he had the chance to get back in time to three years, to the day of his wife's death to make her the happiest elderly woman in Oldland, to change the events of that day and be with her until the last breath before she leaves again.

Old Love is a marvelous romantic story, a mixture of pure love, welfare and also sadness.. it makes us think again about our relationship with the elderly..

First if you want to make money with a mobile game you need to have your game in both stores. Get your game in Apple's app store asap. Statistically app store users are also more willing to pay for apps than google users.

Not only that, share what you have over social media and see if you can catch some attention. As well as mail all the game news sites. If it’s a slow news day, they’ll be happy to talk about an indie game if it’s interesting.

I think Google Play Instant is worth trying.
If your game is really cute (it looks so) and has interesting gameplay (btw store listing doesn't make clear what the gameplay is like). Another reason is that your game is paid and is the very first one. I see how people would be hesitant to take a chance.

Instant for premium game doesn’t make too much sense.

I think e-mailing the press and sending promo codes should be your number one priority.

    Also release on App Store.

Also ask Google to be included in their indie showcase corner (or whatever they call it these days)

Hey I found your game unique and interactive. I am up to advertise your game on my facebook fanpages, I've large audience, I'll charge little amount just to support your game ;) Let me know if you're interested so we'll further discuss in private.

Maybe you don't know every popular game first advertised on different platforms to gain the attention. When people don't know it so how would they install? so how can you say its not a good Idea? I build my audience who likes to play games as much as any game player should be. And as you also said it turn out to be a scam!! Get a life dude! I replied him just because I wanted to help and in return if I charge a little bit then I don't think its so bad to advertise a game on Half Million Fans!!
Well to proof myself legit I will show my audience first with the link and screenshot of each fanpage and post his game ad fist on my few pages and after the deal I'll post on rest of my pages. Will you say again this is a scam?

He probably didn't mean to offend you it's just that when someone appears with a fresh account to offer their "large audience" for a fee and with no proof it can seem suspicious.

Because the barrier of having to pay is much more significant than having to wait some seconds for this to install.

Instant app simply allows to demo the app (for free) before purchasing it. I don't see why it shouldn't make sense to user to be able to try it before spending money. And also for developer, a chance to prove the game worth the money.

The only valid reason is that Google Play might feature you for using Instant app, but that's about it.

    Nice!

    Some thoughts:
    1. Still, I would do demo via Google Instant (if you can strip down your download size to 10 MB)
      • what is your approach to image assets? pixel or vector (SVG)?
      • use IL2CPP with code stripping option
      • take a look at build logs (to spot heavy assets)
    2. Consider using Unity Ad Campaign with Playable Ads
      • haven't tried it personally. I believe Unity Tiny should be used to create them

    Can't agree.
Let's say the user made it to your premium app details page (via featuring, ad or otherwise). The ability to freely checkout your game will make or break the deal in a lot of cases.
Of course, assuming that your game is genuinely good and the instant version is properly done (shows all its strengths).

Sometimes I feel a little tired and this is normal for an older woman like me. But I am never disappointed or worried because I am surrounded by kind and helpful elderly people in Oldland.❤️ I am cute or not ? Haha
