You typically wouldn't do this in less than 48 hours, or at least 24.
I only see a single post? There's not much to comment on yet.

The first thing that jumps out at me is that it's really short. Websites are about content. You need enough of it for people to bother sticking around for more than a few seconds.

It also has no capital letters, which makes it seem unprofessional.

Was there an animation when the page opened, as well, with the heading flying in? That kind of thing is very 1990's PowerPoint, look-I-can-do-animation type of stuff. Generally, unless it adds to the purpose of your site, don't do it.

The tool doesn't matter. Work on the content and the presentation, that's what's important.

    1. get rid of all the made with wix s***
    2. get rid of the annoying box that wants feedback about the site
    3. your color selection makes the entire site look disabled (gray on gray)

    site score: 2/10

    needs a lot more love.

    Are you trollin' or what?

The "Made with Wix" stuff is because he hasn't properly published the site (with a paid account) yet, because it's not finished. The "annoying box" isn't a part of the website, it's their feedback tool.

    trolling? me? never.

most of the time with those template sites, its just a case of removing the offending html... not familiar with wix, but I doubt its that different.

I suggest taking a look at both Wix and the concept of attribution. ;)

If you cant get rid of it, I would find a different template/host setup.

Personally, so would I. Of course that's easy for me to say since I have the skills required to do all of that stuff without needing automated tools to help me out. For people who don't have those skills something like Wix is a huge time saver.

Heck, even if you do have those skills, it's still often a huge time saver because you can give those jobs to other people and put the tech skills to use elsewhere. ;)

Nobody who matters cares about "Made using Blah". And feedback tools are useful.

LOL yeah the website suuckkss... my first reaction to seeing "go for it" is to not read the bs and instead quickly leave the page and not read anything at all LOL the font for the "Hey" makes it seem even more sketchy

Good start but it's not very easy to read text. When designing anything your first priority is making something that can do the job efficiently. Other priorities are making it look attractive.

A websites job is firstly to convey information. Even if it's entertainment it must do it's primary task of conveying information to the reader. In this respect your site fails because it's hard to read.

It should be an easy enough fix though.

Not only that, he bumped it one minute after a previous post!

As far as the website, I was expecting a developer blog to actually talk about the development of the game. Not just give a link and a change log. That seems like it would go on a news page, not a blog page. None of the video buttons seem to work except for the first one. And I'm not sure what the button to submit my game is for. What am I submitting it to?

I'm saying this in an attempt to be helpful...

    24 hours. Minimum.

That's 24 hours after the most recent post. It should also only be done if the thread isn't on the front page anyway, and you shouldn't do it more than twice in a row.

As pedantic as it sounds, this stuff is important because the way you present yourself online radically impacts how people react and respond. You've already got some pretty good starting feedback, so bumping the thread repeatedly without making significant changes to warrant asking people for fresh feedback isn't helping you in any regard. You seem excited and eager, which are both good things. Harness that energy to work on your site or your games. Definitely engage with the community as much as you can, but make sure you've got something new to show or add each time or others will lose interest (or worse) quickly.

Just an Idea for you m8. Maybe post a link to your current video here or in the Work In Progress forum.

The reason I suggest this is, if you want to people to submit their games to your site so you can make videos of yourself testing/playing them, it would be helpful for the submitters if they first get a taste for your ideas and understand what service you want to provide them.

By looking at the page buttons you have added under your 'Videos' section, it is clear that your interested in making.recording differant kinds of videos. If you are already doing somthing like this on YouTube with Commercial games - maybe add a link to your channel on your site aswell? People will probably feel more like submitting their videos to your site if they know why they are submitting them, and what your planning to do with them.

Before writing this I decided to watch the only video on your site and It soon becomes apparent that your a young person... I have to say this:

Great effort on your Game !!!

Im guessing your around 8-12 years old.. at that age I was only playing games, SNES, MEGADrive & PSOne games, with but only a dream of ever being able to work on making games - I knew nothing about it at that age, Im 27 now and have only really been learning game related programming and concepts the past 4 years.

    Keep up the hard work!

I tried to play your game here:

    http://logan22631.wix.com/netherboss#!playracingplanet2/c1ht2

However, it didn't work. Says I need to install Unity Player. I installed it and even rebooted, but it still says I need to install Unity Player.

I'm on a Mac. Not sure what the issue is.

My point was that you don't say on the website what the submit your game button is for. Visitors aren't going to know to come to this forum to figure that out. I also figured that there were no videos yet, but again, from a user perspective that is confusing. You'd either want a "coming soon" page to show, or not have the placeholders at all.
