So basically i changed my old RTS project into an MMORPG, because i am insane, i don't care if its impossible to make.

Anyway, i have made enough progress to show you a cool video!!!

I will update this thread with new videos and screenshots as much as possible.

I hope you will enjoy, any question is welcome.

Actually very impressed :) I cant tell whether its your screen capture or whether its your actual game graphics which look like that, its a percuilier style to go for. but I kinda like it. Keep it up :)

Nice graphics, but it doesn't fit with the terrain textures. Might want to hand draw those as well.

Looks great! and yep,..you did fool me! I was expecting a troll! ,..hehhee

I have a question that I have been wondering for awhile,..

All those Inventory panels,..mouse over descrips,..and HUD,...is that all 2D texture on a geometric Plane? or modeled 3D objects?
or is there some other way of doing that stuff?

    Just curious,..

@Welby: All the interfaces are done with GUI.DrawTexture and Grahics.DrawTexture (for the minimap and the characters icons), the mouse over is done by adding a tooltip (see GUIContent class)

@Wolfos: you are right, i will take some time to add terrain textures

Well, i love the new textures... It fits with the style but
In my opinion the path white is too bright...
    thats just my opinion.

    Great job though.

Actually liked the first set of screens better. But that's just my opinion. You're the developer, do what you like.

    @thatbadguy:

    Firstly:
pleople should be more realistic when using statements/claims like "awesome, best, cool, fabulous, biggest" etc..
Especially if it's way to early to make such statements hold ground (prepre pre alpha status).
That's what it tried to say, to the OP in a tactical way.
Claiming things that simply aren't there (yet), is quite, how do i say this...arrogant.
*even more by dissing a well known AAA title like WOW*

Such statements can be made, once the game is actually done, or in rc stage. Because than it can be proven to be what it claims to be.

    Secondly:
i actually made a positive comment: that i liked the art direction in term of textures.

Thirdly: i know people are exited and all, making games. But don't exaggerate things with wild claims, that might never be. I've been there, that why i know, how hard you can fall by doing so. Just create the game, post updates, let people give feedback, and see how it goes on the long run.
Maybe this game will become an awesome WOW killer, who knows.. it's just too early to call it anything at this stage of development.

"Hey there, thought i was trolling? I was just trying to get your attention with this awesome title." - yes i did read it. but if you ment it as a joke, i have misunderstood it completely ;) (and i stand corrected)

Looks cool. I'll hand paint terrain textures if you do multiplayer programming for my new isometric MOBA

What would make this project better than other mmo's on the market?

I wonder the same thing, rik338.... Someone puts MMO in there title and people go Oh joy! its soo cool... I beg to differ the 3D graphics are somewhat bad. I haven't seen any gameplay scripting done worthy showing off.. this project should have waited to have been posted... Because all I see is some fancy 2D graphics and some fancy lighting. Also looks like maybe this was made using Fury Engine, if thats the case much of this wasn't even programmed by you.

I think rik338 is actually serious. It doesn't matter what he used, I think you really need to have a hook to make an mmo. you need something different

Nice art style from the few screens.

Do you have any other details planned out for your game?

    Hey!

@prophet: i think this might become a sandbox mmo (with private servers), i am planning to add many RPG features, that wouldn't fit for a massively multiplayer game. Also this solution would save me a lot of server expenses.

@KingCharizard: i dont know about this Fury Engine, but i doubt this this would be flexible enough for what i am trying to do.

Here is a new video showing off the new features:

    - Ranged weapons (bows...)
    - The new transport system (for Boats etc...)
    - The new region.
