My Assets error (Failed to call Unity ID to get auth code)

Great, it works

 

For me it is fixed by simply clicking on the "Sign In" button at top left of Unity. If Unity Hub is running and logged-in then Unity gets the account from it.

 

Now June 2022 and this problem is still happening on the latest LTS. And this solution worked for me.

Hi. Getting this issue on Linux Mint 21 with unity editor 2021.1.3. All mentioned in thread solutions didn't work, except for checking missing ca-certificate files, wasn't able to find how to do this. I do have a ca-certificates file though and it isn't corrupted, as it gives me a list of enabled certificates. After logging in the hub it just creates one more same issue in the log

 

I can confirm; signing out in HUB even while editor open and signing back in in PACKET MANAGER also fixed this in 2021.3.0f1

Just save & close all projects and re-open them

Signing Out and signing In from Hub did the trick for me. For other devs out there, check also Internet Proxy Settings, Firewalls, Antivirus software, that also can be blocking the requests.

To diagnose the issue (Get the internet/network connections Unity is trying to do), you can use procmon from microsoft/sysinternals to monitor network traffic and see if it is being blocked. It is a very useful and simple tool to use, when debugging problems in a PC (Not just network related, but also filesystem, registry, etc.).

I have tried many of the fine instructions in here, and without success. But then I tried logging into my company VPN and now I can access my assets. I use Unity 2022.1.2f1

 

Coming here from a Google search, this post was frustrating to encounter because it doesn't even link to the actual post in question, not to mention that in the future there is no guarantee that the same post will even remain pinned.

I had the same issue because of the default browser change. It seems to me Unity Hub authenticates with the default browser.

 

Hub sign out and back in again works for me in 2019+.

 

Worked for me on 2021.3 two years later. It would be nice if they would provide a slightly more clear error message on this.

I have the same problem now, but only with 2022.2, it works in 2021.3 LTS

 

As an interesting aside, this also seems to be connected to another problem I've had where attempting to launch a project from the task bar icon (on Linux) will tell me that the proper version of Unity is not installed; while launching it from an opened hub works without issue. Again, I just needed to sign out and sign in again, and everything functions as intended, including starting my project from the OS task bar.

 

I try to reopen the Unity, and it works! thanks! (I use Windows)

 

Getting this error too. just can't get into my asset from Package Manager.

Tried everything ! Sign out/in doesn't help.

It seems project specific though, as i can see my assets from another project !

well i got that warning too but my case its about the internet when my internet speed is really bad this warning came

That was the fix for me.

I closed Unity and signed out of my account. But starting it up again, within Unity it has still not signed in. So this fixed it.
