Multiple navmesh areas in a single source mesh

Is there a way to designate areas of a mesh as being different areas within a navmesh?

My playing field is (currently) a single model, some of which is supposed to be swampy ground through with characters move more slowly. As such, I need to assign a higher cost navmesh layer to these areas, so my navmesh agents react intelligently and avoid the swamps if going round is faster.

Is there a way of designating sections of this model's mesh as the "swamp" navmesh layer without having to use multiple models?
