It seems so odd. I thought that there would be wide assortment of 2D, multiplayer (Photon PUN2), paid or free application templates out there. Not so much it seems...

The Healthcare industry is being targeted and people are facing significant cost and frustration as their personal info is compromised in breach after breach. This is even more impactful than a credit card or bank account breach. A simple quiz game could have significant impact in reducing the number and scale of breaches, especially if it is targeted at the IT, Executive, and Consumer level.

I am looking to develop a FREE Information Security Awareness quiz for my Healthcare employer and their staff. Does anyone have a MULTI-PLAYER template for a customizable content quiz game?

October is National Information Security Awareness month, so a third quarter delivery would be wonderful.

A skilled unity developer would be able to throw together a quiz application in a matter of few weeks, if not days, even if it needs a web-based scoreboard or something like that..

It is kinda the genre that does not normally need a template.

However, If you really want a template, then asset store has several options you could buy. I found at least 9 of them with a google search.

LOL. Thanks for the reply. A person that actually wanted to help would have offered more than a veiled insult regarding my coding skills. I see that a lot of your responses in other threads follow a similar pattern. What is it that you are over compensating for?
I am impressed, you are not only a "skilled developer" in your own mind, but you can do a Google search too, all on your own. How many of these 9 actually work with Photon multi-player?

Look, if you have nothing useful to contribute, please just move on...

I would advise to reconsider the tone of your questions when you're asking for help and aren't paying for it. I have better things to do than trying to insult a random person I've never seen before, never met, never interacted with and likely will never see again.

I don't care about you or your coding skills. I worked on similar project before. A quiz application is simple. Unless you omitting 90% of the task description.

I don't care about your lack of personality, or any useless advice that you think you are offering. I would advise you to seek help. You are a snide troll.

Feel free to ignore me and my simple questions. If the request is too simple for a developer of your caliber, you simply don't need to respond.

You didn't specify in your original post that it had to be photon multiplayer. The short answer is no, there isn't a specific template for a multiplayer photon quiz game in unity. But your best bet would be to take an existing multiplayer quiz template and then convert the netcode to Photon if that's a hard requirement.

Alternatively, using a game engine for a quiz seems a bit overkill. Is there a specific reason it needs to be in Unity?

Uuuuum okay I am going to give a flat out nope to offering you any help if thats the tone you are going to offer to people who are coming to reply to you.

FYI you didnt really give much info, secondly you said you couldnt find templates and they said they could find 9 by googling. Next step is to go google and find those 9, not to start slinging insults. You didnt specify photon originally. Maybe if you were more clear you would have had better targeted advice.

We are a close knit community here and that kind of rhetoric is usually not tolerated, especially from someone asking for stuff from members here who are not paid to answer your questions and do it out of their own free will and time.

OP you may be better off just getting a template for quiz style game that doesnt support multiplayer, and then trying to either integrate photon yourself (its not too difficult and there are lots of good tutorials online for how to go about this) or alternatively contract a developer over upwork or some other website to integrate the photon for you. I think that will be fastest, easist and cheapest way to go about this :)

OMG. I retract my question. Forget that I ever asked for help. I will not refrain from responding in kind to others that are rude to me.

When I respond to a request for help or guidance I try to offer help or guidance. I don't try to demean the requestor, or call into question their skill set. If I have nothing to add, I don't respond to the request. By all means, continue to support the trolls that live here. Care for them, feed them, and tickle them under their chins. They are going to make this product, these forums, and Unity's communications sooooo much more attractive to others.

    Best regards,

    You are kidding right?

    A. @UnityMaru is community manager here - everything he says is to foster a kind and propserous unity community so I dont think thats the right way to respond, its not like he locked the thread or punished you in any way
    B. I took the time to give you a valid response with a solution even after you decided to be this way and even tried to do so in a nice civil and friendly tone, and look : we are here again.

Im done here, and I wouldnt be surprised given your tone if this gets locked.

Best of luck to you, if you need to resolve this issue read my post above where I talk about upwork.

Enough. Be less rude in the future, civility a requirement for participation here. Not doing so can lose you the privilege of posting here.
