I think that if I use Code (CSharp): transform.GetChild In the LE_Object script, then I could simply save its values(position,rotation,scale) with the LE_SaveLoad script. Also, do you have any piece of code lying around that you could share to make your editor to save/load terrain details(grass and detail meshes)?
