MTG scale is interpreted wildly in Unity.

Hello,

I am using

• Unity 2017.3.1f1
• Vuforia 7.0.47
• MTG 7.0.50

In my MTG Project I am using a model (imported obj) of a car, where scale dimensions are set to cm.
The resulting MTG Display:


However, this is what I get in Unity:


293km corresponds to a factor of 10^6 - this seems wrong.
Also notice that the "Show Bounding Box" checkbox is checked - however in the scene the bounding box is not visible, unless you zoom in: it actually seems to have a much smaller scale than the visualization of the model (but not as small as 10^-6 in relation).


In the Thread "Known issues with Vuforia 7 Model Target Generator" you recommend to
"use meters for all target dimensions."


This also seems very little information. Is this a different issue?
Please let me know how i should proceed.

 

This looks like a different issue. Which version of Unity, Vuforia, and the MTG are you using for this? Are you able to share your model + dataset (can direct message this if you don't want to share the data publicly) so we can attempt to reproduce this locally?

There have also been numerous releases of the MTG and Vuforia since your original post. It would be worth testing this again on 7.1.34.
