Have those of you that have done this found it to be graphically worth it, and did/does it (potentially) slow down gameplay significantly on Android devices, for instance?

I'm somewhat new to unity, using the lasest version of 4 but videos like this:

make me wonder if I ought to jump ship to 5 right away. Just wanted to get people's feedback who've done this, or for those who haven't why they're sticking with Unity 4 right now.

I know this is vague but I just wanted to hear peoples' experiences rather than be like "should I switch?" blah blah.

    Thanks! :)

I just did it, without backing up my project.... And it didn't turn too good, it glitched out tons of stuff, i also have a post and i'm hoping for someone helping me... So yeah, do it, but make sure you have a nice backup, don't do a mistake i did, I fell in a huge risk corrupting my project that i worked on for 1 year+ now. But there's most likely good fixes for my problems, so yeah. Do what i told you, don't screw it up ! And yes, Unity 5 offers amazingly nice diffrence, and it's totally worth it to upgrade, ofcourse !

Ok, thank you. Fear confirmed though... I will certainly back up.

Good luck with your project getting it fixed up. Little things that mess up seem to be able to cause huge problems so hopefully your fixes are minor and the community helps you find them fast :)

Thanks for the helpful reply... I can't wait to try moving it over tonight now but I'll plan for some headaches...
