    Hi there,

I'm currently considering switching my project to the asset server because that'll make me feel a lot safer (I have all the scripts in SVN, which is already quite nice, but a Unity project is simply much more than just "some scripts"). Since for now, I'm working on my project solo, I thought I might put the asset server on my local Mac which should be the easiest and quickest (and most performant) setup.

However, in the long run, I'll probably want to collaborate - so I would then install the Asset Server on my Linux machine hosted at 11.

Question: Is moving the project from my local Mac OS install to the Linux install as simple as doing a DB backup on my local machine and playing that backup into my hosted Linux machine? Or might I be running into trouble on that?

    Sunny regards,
    Jashan

    That should work just fine.

    Hi David,

thanks for the info - that's good news... so I guess I'll install the asset server to my local machine and then look forward to buying the client license ;-)
