Audio More Complicated Audio info

I've been trying to make an app with unity that gets the pitch of the microphone, but there is nothing that's like that. There's a frequency but that doesn't work how I need it too. Unity has a really nice way of making complicated things easy, and I would really like to see some better audio features in the future. For now, does anyone have a viable solution? And what are your thoughts?
