Monzo Lighting & Shadows

    Has anyone seen Monzo by Madfinger?

    I've just downloaded it for my iPad 3 which isn't the best when it comes to performance but Monzo is pretty damn slick.
    Looks like Image Based Lighting and those soft shadows are awesome.

    I've got Skyshop but when I use it for mobile it drags my iPad 3 down to about 20fps while this is running pretty damn smooth on my iPad.

    Anyone have any thoughts on how they produced those soft shadows?
    Fake?

    And has anyone had any success getting decent performance from IBL?
