Monodevelop settings

Hey guys,

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but I'm a little stuck with the monodevelop settings.

All the tutorials I've watched so far have a line next to the line numbers with plus and minus signs on them. This line can be used for code folding which seems really great. My problem: I don't have it!!!

How do I get that line (and what is it called?)

Thanks in advance for anyone who decides to help this noob.

 

tools > options > (left side) text editor > general.

The one problem is that folded code will unfold on save and i dont know how to stop it. if anyone else would tike to chime in to answer that, it would be nice.

 

Speaking of MonoDevelop settings... I see some tutorial videos where the MonoDevelop editor is dark with light text. MIne is the opposite, but I don't see any options to change that. How do you get the dark background with light text in MonoDevelop?

 

tools > options > (left side) text editor > syntax highlighting.

pick one or make your own.
