I'm trying to follow the GTGDS1 videos, but when I try and edit a C# script with MonoDevelop, I get a series of errors that reads as follows:

Error while trying to load the project 'C:\Users\Noah\Documents\Test1/Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.csproj': An error occurred while parsing EntityName. Line 40, position 45.
Error while trying to load the project 'C:\Users\Noah\Documents\Test1/Assembly-CSharp.csproj': An error occurred while parsing EntityName. Line 40, position 45.
Error while trying to load the project 'C:\Users\Noah\Documents\Test1/Assembly-UnityScript-firstpass.unityproj': An error occurred while parsing EntityName. Line 40, position 45.

Any help / advice would be much appreciated, I am really enjoying using Unity so far and would hate to have to give up now.

I fixed my issue by updating to the most current version of Unity, installing to default location and running MonoDevelop once to initialize all of its components before using it to edit my script. I'm sure you guys have tried that already, though... Sorry I couldn't be of more help ):

I ran into this today. Sorry for the necro but this was all I could find on it. I had a special character in my project name which was messing up the XML file and breaking it which was Assembly-CSharp. I removed it and all went back to normal.

    For posterity:
Took @Cover-Club-Media tip and searched at "Assembly-CSharp.csproj" code for an unusual character. Found a line calling for my project directory, which had an "&". Changed the folder name and reloaded. All fine now.

THANK YOU!!!! I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why Unity wasn't generating an Assembly-Csharp.csproj file or .sln, it has been due to this studio error with the & sign in my file path.
