monodevelop 4.0.1 much sslllooowwwer

    anybody else experiencing the new monodevelop reacting to typing much slower or maybe its my system?

    Yep, since the new update to mono 4.0.1 I have noticed the cursor is laggy as hell, very frustrating

    I also noticed, im now using visual studio express, the only drawback is a referenced error in unity doeant goto line in vs. not a big issue though (and seem to work better in vs too, a nice little bonus)

    Yup, noticing the same thing here on Mono 4.0.1. Very often, the curser will hang for a second before responding. Running OSX 10.8.5 and Unity 4.3.2f1. I always run all Monos with the Version Control Add-Ins turned off...as those are known to cause intermittent hangs, but it's not helping on 4.0.1.

    I have the old Mono 2.8.2 still installed and it is far more responsive (again with Version Control Add-Ins turned off).
