    Hi,

Firstly, if this is in the wrong section, please feel free to move it. I did try searching, but couldn't find any answers so...

I'm looking for a new monitor. I'm currently running dual 22" monitors, both running at 1860 x 1050 but the editor is a bit cramped. I've found a monitor on Amazon, but wanted to know if anyone here has one, or has tried one, or has any opinions on it, one way or the other. The monitor is a ViewSonic VX2880ml 28 inch 4K Ultra HD LED Monitor and here is the link:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/ViewSonic-V...56P&s=merchant&ie=UTF8&qid=1418463166&sr=1-90

    Thanks in advance,

    John.

EDIT to add: I've found this which may be better: Acer 4k2k CB280HK 28" Gaming Widescreen LED Monitor - Black

I would assume any expensive TV's or Monitors would be great lol....
Don't even have to look at the link to know they are expensive when I see "4K" Resolution lol.

I've seen 4K Resolution tv's go for 8 grand lol.

Problem is though, unless Xbox one and PS4 have change,
no movie or anything is set up to understand what a 4K resolution is (yet).

It's nice to have for the future, but you're most likely still going to be stuck with 1080P resolutions (maybe a bit bigger)

But a 4K monitor is great (My phone is a 4K Resolution) (Don't ask, why does a Phone need it) LOL..
It doesn't, it's actually just a waste, why do I need a 4K resolution for a 5.5 inch screen lol.

But yes, it's worth getting, but nothing will recognize a 4K resolution.
(Well maybe your applications opened will, but that's if your Graphics card supports a 4K resolution.
Otherwise you're going to have access to the resolution but you'll never get the full use of it until things support it.

heck not even cabel TV will recognize it, they don't transmit (at least in the US) more than a 720P I believe it is, it's either 720 or 480 with a HDMI Cord.

It's for the added real estate when using the editor, as everything is cramped on my current monitor. The Acer monitor is only £350 and, using the Display Port, I can get 3840 x 2160 resolution.

By the way, my phone has a 6.4" screen and I believe that 1920 x 1080, which is fine for reading eBooks, so I agree with you about the point of a 4K screen on a phone.

Ahh okay, well then, you should be good to go then LOL.
Didn't know they made stuff support 4K resolutions yet.

Haha yeah, I didn't even know what the Quad HD 4K Screen was at first, then I was like really? Time to make my games slower on my phone for pulling off higher resolutions lol.
