Monetization or Advertise?

I have a video ad that plays ever 3rd death. I also want a banner as showing during game play. I seen a lot about Advertise being replaced by Monetization. I also can't seem to get the banner right. It loads a full screen video ad as soon as the game loads. You close the ad and that's it. No banner. All the info I find seems to be very outdated or contradicts what other documents say. That is where I run into the question of Monetization or Advertise.
