Modo/Lightwave export?

    I have tried importing OBJ files from both MODO and Lightwave with no luck at all...

    When I drag an object file from the project window onto the scene nothing happens. I thought OBJ files will work no matter what application exported them?

    (or am i doing something wrong -- see file)

    HELP!

    Unity does not import obj files at this point.

    You can use 3ds, fbx, blender or maya mb.

    Are there any plans on supporting lightwave objects?

    hmmm.....

    Ok, downloaded the plugin for lightwave and it had an installer... after install, where is the plug-in option? When i select export it is not in the menu?

    Any ideas?

    Hmmm... weird... I tried to run the installer myself.
    It installs the plug-in into "/Applications/LightWave [8]/Plugins/Input-Output"

    Even on my machine, which doesn't have Lightwave at all... (So they don't know about pre-instalation scripts... But OK Installer packages are hard to do right: I should know. :p )

    Maybe you have installed Lightwave somewhere else and have to move the plug-in to an appropriate location?

    Anyone?

    Not really - we don't have a Lightwave installer. Try asking on the NewTek boards.
