mixamo climbing animation without IK

    hello,

    i want my character to climb onto a cube. i'm controlling xz movement within my scripts. for the climbing movement i want to use the animations xyz position because it looks more smooth.

    so in animator i made a transition from "walk" to "climb" and from "climb" to "idle". my character is climbing onto the cube correctly but then it snaps back to the floor in front of the cube.

    when i inspect my character i can see that the transform position is always the same while climbing.

    if i disable "bake into pose" for the climb animation my character is not moving upwards.

    how can i update the transform position to match the animation position?

    please help

    Ok, i found the solution: In the "climb" animation don't use any "bake into pose" options and set "motion -> root motion node" to "none".
