After the Unity update from 2020.3.0f1 to 2020.3.3.f1, all sprite atlases in the project are as follows:

#1. 'Objects for Packing' is gone!!!
#2. Preview shows the previous cache.
#3. But, if I check it with text editor like Notepad, it has its packing information in the 'm_PackedSprites' section.
#4. If I click [Pack Preview], actual packing information in #3 will be gone.

    Is anyone experiencing this issue?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

We are unable to reproduce this issue when upgrading a project from 2020.3.0f1 to 2020.3.3.f1

It would help if you can submit a bug report and attach your project to it
How to report a bug: https://unity3d.com/unity/qa/bug-reporting

Also let us know the case ID once you do so we can look into this issue

    Thank you.

    Thank you for your response.

Looking further, it doesn't seem to be related to the Unity upgrade.
Luckily, I am using the git in my project.
I reverted the commit which contains Unity upgrade and bunch of changes Unity made automatically.

At first glance, it was looking OK with Unity 2020.3.0f1.
But, after I clicked Play, Unity deleted all the sprite atlas packing information again.
So, I discarded all the changes with a git command, but Unity didn't update sprite atlas information in the inspector,
even though the actual sprite atlas has its own packing information in the file!

Is this related to the cache or something else?

The reason was one of the assets my colleague had added recently.

I have no idea why this happened, but it was resolved after removing that asset.

FYI, here is the link to the asset, True Shadow:

Thank you for taking your time.:)

Just to be sure, are you on the latest version of the asset? If you are, the only thing that can affect Sprite Atlas is the file TrueShadow.Baking.cs. You can safely delete that file in the latest version. It contain a deprecated feature, and will be removed in future version.

The same problem happened to me, but after deleting the TrueShadow.Baking.cs file, this problem did not occur to me. Thank you.

We are having the same problem with atlases in 2020.3.11f1. They don't survive the commits. We are not using TrueShadow plug-in but would you be kind to tell what the offending logic was in TrueShadow.Baking.cs?

That feature was discontinued early on so I never knew what exactly caused the problem.
