Minecraft Raytraced with Realistic Textures almost Archvis Quality in real time.

    Just amazed by the quality level achieved with Minecraft and some amazing pathtracing shaders combined with great looking textures and it's working in real time.

    As a Unity users I'm jealous of the Minecraft real time lighting tech stack shown here.

    You do realise that SonicEther (who also created SEGI) had to... write that stack themselves, right? It's not like this is just a default Minecraft thing. Hell, it doesn't even run on AMD cards properly yet.

    Everything you're seeing here you can do with a combination of the SRP and custom shaders.

    Sonic Ether makes very impressive demos but the hardware required to drive it at a normal resolution with playable frame rates is positively insane thanks to the fact that it's all based around OpenGL. You basically need everything you can throw at it because everything is extremely unoptimized.
