Cool you have the asymmetrical view frustums to view pov / head-tracking worked out. I've been working with VRPN and other tracking systems in Unity also, with the head tracking working with passive and active, but some of the Unity graphics methods don't cooperate so well.

Do you have a solution for the offset frustums with Unity so that the post-process imagefx and shadow passes are not misaligned?
What method are you using to produce the active stereo?

    thanks

    Very impressive.

I am interested in buying this plugin.

Can you give us some hints about the pricing?

    Thank you.

    Hi to all,
thanks a great lot to all your nice comments !
The plugin is Windows only for the moment since most VR systems only use Windows.

We can't disclose the actual prices yet because we're still in the beta phase and they prices are being studied.
But there will be several prices, from entry-level to regular (ie expensive) VR systems.

@Priceap: The shadows now work correctly with asymmetric cameras. As for the active stereo we use a few tricks that we will not disclose today :)

@Carwash: It could support TrackIR. We're talking to Natural Point about that.

    Looks good.
Just not to nitpick, but wish you'd change the music on the video. I know you can press mute, but videos always need music, just in my opinion something less hard.

    @Moddiesw: music changed!
@Rahuxx: it should work with a regular quadro card that uses quad-buffer. The DLP Link projector should automatically generate the synchro signal.

    Hello!
We want to run it on FirePro v9800 with 3 stereo displays (on DLP projectors with dual input)
It uses OpenGL quadbuffered AMD HD3D Pro driver.
How can we make it work?
    Can pay extra for customization.

As said in a private e-mail, the latest MiddleVR version allows you to use either VR devices to manipulate the VR First Person Controller or the regular keyboard.

    Hi,
we just released MiddleVR for Unity 1.6!

MiddleVR is a VR plugin for Unity that allows you to use 3D trackers, off-axis perspective, stereoscopy, clustering, VR menus, VR GUIs, display webpages etc.

It is heavily used in CAVEs all around the world.

You can download MiddleVR for Unity on our webpage: http://www.middlevr.com

    Have a great day! Sébastien

    @imin

I was interested in creating a virtual experience in which we use a HDMI projector to display a virtual Unity scene on a table. Then I want to use the Kinect v2 to track a person's head and skew the projection matrix based on the player's viewing angle and distance from the Kinect. So that the projector image on the table properly skews to make the 2D projector image feel like it is popping out. Similar to this. Is this possible with your plugin? Thank you.

    Can anyone help me ?

I am just starting with a new project in VR and have some problems.

I want to simulate a simple 3D-Ball like the real one in real world.

I am using OptiTrack to register my camera( 3d glasses) and Middle VR(free edition) to realize the 3D effect in 3D room. And also Unity for 3D models and programming with C#.

    >> My Problem:

I have a real plastic ball and use it to compare with that 3D-Ball. If i go to the real ball in (real world) it will be bigger and if i go away from it, it will be smaller visually.

The 3d ball has the same diameter as the real one and stand at the same position. But if i go to ihm with 3d glasses it will be (quicker) bigger than the one in real world and if i go away from it, it will quick smaller than the real one...

Can anyone explain to me, how to solve the problem, what should i do. I need your help.

Thank you and have a nice day.

    Carvin.
