    Hi guys,

I m very new into Unity and game dev..
I m just looking around for helpfull tools and assets.
Now I have found two nice terrain tools: TerraWorld and MicroSplat.
My question is now: Can I combine them? Maybe to have lava on a realworld by TerraWorld etc? And shaders on this "real"world of Terra by MicroSplat?

And are both compatible for crossplattform developing? Like games to play on PC, Mac, Switch and Mobile Devices?

    Best regards
    Phil

    Hi Phil,

Welcome to the world of game dev. First of all, please use this thread for further questions on TerraWorld: https://forum.unity.com/threads/50-...vel-designer-for-real-world-locations.784217/

Yes, you can definitely combine them together since TW is a modular solution where you can use your own resources such as textures, prefabs, materials, terrain layers, effects... along with replacing TerraFormer (TW's terrain shader) with any other terrain shaders such as MicroSplat.

For example, here is a user's created scene where he combined TerraWorld scene with Nature Manufacture's Lava asset to create a phantasy style environment. Link here: https://twitter.com/TerraUnity/status/1383703155565764616

Yes, they work on any platforms as Unity supports and does the porting but you should know target platform's limitations and you may need to tweak or disable things here and there for a performant and proper build.
