I am using Pocket portal VR asset https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/particles-effects/pocket-portal-vr-85657 with Unity 2018.3 and i am getting MeshSkinning.Update using most of my CPU. What the asset does is create two rendertextures, one for each object and use those in a shader which is applied in a portal. When the portal is enabled MeshSkinning.Update uses most of my cpu though there is not any Skinned mesh renderer, portal uses a Mesh renderer. Without the portal i get like double FPS so its a huge difference

Maybe the skinned mesh renderers are being rendered for the portal render texture?

But there are not skinned mesh renderers in the other side of the portal, actually in the whole scene just the character has skinned mesh renderers.
