    Hi.
I am currently doing testing in my game to work through memory leaks and their seems to be one. However, most of the memory that is leaking is marked as 'unknown' in the Unity Memory Profiler, so I have no idea what it is, and the documentation did not help clarify much.
While I'm at it, its showing RenderTextures as taking a large amount of memory, but my understanding is that RenderTextures do not contain a CPU copy of the data. I'm assuming this means that the unity objects memory is showing GPU memory usage? It would be great to here somebody confirm that though.
Also yes I am leaking materials that one has been found :)

I need to update to a newer version of unity to see if this has been fixed in the memory profiler, but it seems that Unity was significantly underreporting the amount of memory associated with a material, and the untracked memory was mostly that. So that 170MB of materials was actually like 3600MB. This is very speculative though I haven't investigated it enough.
