Game is based in medieval era, 12-13th century. For now planned areas are Asia and Europe.
Videos will be posted when programmer will join project and produce some mechanic for game.

    Here are some assets:

Wow, those are amazing! They look extremely high poly, though -- or are those just fantastic normal maps? :p

Normals, the tiger is just over 1k polygons. And Janpec, where is the pickaxe? That was the best.

I just saw this thread a few minutes ago and I was like ,,Meh...another crappy RPG thread,I won't bother reading this thread",and then I saw that the creator of the thread was janpec(not a crappy RPG anymore, looks promising as Ryan_M said :D)...
Awesome stuff! How many polys/tris do the small props have(like the candle, the cheese)?

Can you show some Unity renders?

Wow very high end artwork! The shader on these assets is what is making them look even more awesome.

Aren't some Assets from freebie sites? I am just guessing though, because the crossbow looks exactly like one I downloaded for my own projects.

Well in a fast-paced production environment folks always looks to outsource stuff any way possible to make a deadline. There's nothing wrong with it, it's a well known practice. I don't know any folks, except the VERY large studios that create everything from scratch. If it's open source or free for commercial use, more power to the indies. Reusing prior assets is common too...just look at the Modern Warfare games, using the same models in 2 or 3 different variations.

janpec, do you have a development blog? Because I would love to follow it!

I too am interested in one day working on an FPS RPG, but I don't think I'm even close to anything you just showed here and would love to follow your project as I learn Unity.

    Very nice work!
