mecanim animations

Hi,

started to work with mecanim. looks great.
few questions:
1. Where can I get/buy some animations (like shoot, reload etc) that are compatible (including blending, IK etc) with mecanim ?
2. Will the unity engine will provide ones upon 4.0 release (not beta) ? If so, is there a due date ?
3. If I want to prepare my own, what formats/tools are supported ?
4. All of the above, but for non human anim (attack dog etc)
