mecanim and finger problem

    I am experiencing issues with mecanim and fingers on my models. As you can see in the image the index and pink finger are not acting as expected. The hand should be making a fist. Any help on how to correct this would greatly be appreciated! The model was created in 3DSMax.

    I ran into a similar issue to this a while back when using a humanoid rig. If by chance you are using a humanoid rig, I would suggest taking a look at the mapping of bones to the avatar structure. I had specific issues with the bone chains in three fingers (index, ring and little finger), which were tied to the auto-mapping of the bones to the avatar. I was able to resolve the issue in seconds once I discovered it.

    I'm still having this issue with unity 2019.4.28f1. The index finger will rotate the opposite way as the rotation in the animation file.
    I've checked the bone mapping of course and everything seems to be properly setup. It only happen with the index finger for me for both hands.
